Round Table "The client, patron and entrepreneur", Bozen (Italy), 7th of June 2010


The Fondazione dell'Ordine degli Architetti PPC of the Province of di Bozen, chaired by Luigi Scolari, with the help of Leonardi Roperti, president of ALA Alto Adige, organized a round table in conjunction with the touring exhibition of the Dedalo Minosse, which was exhibited in Bozen from the 28th of May to the 18th of June 2010. The round table, which was held on the 7th of June 2010, was titled "The client, patron and entrepreneur" and discussed about enlighten clients' motivations behind the investment of resources for building top quality architecture.
This point of view is shared by Peter Reichegger, managing director of Hobag SpA, private client winner of the International Prize Dedalo Minosse for commissioning a building - edition 2007/2008 -, who explained the marketing strategies behind the choice of designing and building a unique architecture work recognizable in the market; Thomas Ausserhofer, president of Building Construction Guild, went through the diverse roles and skills of the three main actors of the building process: client, architect and executers; Josef March, director of the department of public works and heritage of the Bozen province, client awarded with the commendation of Chamber of Commerce of Vicenza - edition 2007/2008-, analysed the tool of the open competition in architecture; Bruno Gabbiani, president of ALA - Assoarchitetti introduced the Dedalo Minosse Prize to the crowded audience.
