31st of May 2008 - Tour of restorations in Vicenza


The events of the Dedalo Minosse ended with a special tour for clients, architects and journalists. Around 90 people started the tour with the visit of the worksite of the Basilica Palladiana, where it was explained the important repairs the building is undergoing, especially the wooden structure of the roof. Following the Basilica Palladiana, the tour went on to palazzo Brusarosco - Gallo - Zaccaria, where the International Library La Vigna, which is specialized in agricultural and wine growing books, is based.
In the '60s the palace underwent to an important restoration by Carlo Scarpa, and commissioned by the Gallo family, that transformed the attic into the flat of the family. Recently, the original restoration has been restored again and the visitors had the opportunity to see a preview of the works, guided by the vice-president of the Foundation, prof. Luigino Curti.
